Gambling Junkies!
Ask any addict...
it starts with just one hit,
but habits, grow like cancer cells,
and soon you just can't quit.
Just one little lottery,
that's the way it always starts,
now they are robbing,
widows and orphans,
sports teams and the arts.
Church bingos and club raffles,
were seen as competition,
so they rubbed them out,
to feed the need of an
out of control addiction.
Just one little lottery...
"To support; charities, sports and arts,"
"It will never go to General Revenue!"
That's the way it always starts.

PS I remember when Governments first took over the gambling racket and the promises they made. But
then an addict will promise anything, for just one more hit!
