Nothing too Good for a Cowboy
I unloaded my horse at the gravel pit,
it snowed three inches overnight,
if them "lost boys" are in the area,
I should find some tracks alright.
So I head off through the jack pine,
on a wandering cattle trail,
the weather is still undecided,
a little snow, some rain, then hail.
The leaves aint off the alders yet,
and every spruce and jack pine tree,
is trying to shed its load of snow,
and dump it all on me.
But I found their trail in last nights snow,
and tracked them to their bed,
fresh tracks lead off through an alder patch,
three lost bulls are just ahead.
